Mr. JOHNSON I. AGBOOLA

Mr. Johnson Ishau Agboola is the Head of Internal Procurement Unit of Lagos State Public Procurement Agency. Born on 18th July, 1969, at Mosan town of Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA) under Alimosho Local Government. Mr. Agboola attended St. James African Primary School, Mosan – Akinogun, He had his Secondary Education at Abesan High School, Abesan Housing Estate Ipaja. He graduated from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos in 2008 with a B.Sc. degree in Accounting. He also obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State in 2019 and he served as the Class Governor. He obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Procurement Management at the University of Lagos in 2025, He was also the Class Governor. A Fellow Certified Procurement Practitioner (FCPP) of the Association of Public Procurement Practitioners of Nigeria (APPON) in 2025 Mr. Agboola became a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN) in 2011 and has attended several training courses in Project Management and Public and Private Procurement Management at local and national training institutes. Before he came to the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, he had garnered about 15 years’ experience in the Maintenance and Production departments of the Lagos Water Corporation at one of its major water treatment plants, the Adiyan Waterworks Phase 1. He also served as a Procurement Officer under the Lagos component of the World Bank-sponsored 2nd National Urban Water Sector Reform Project (2NUWSRP) between 2013 and 2018. He was also a member of the Procurement team for the Network Distribution System for Waterworks Rehabilitation and Expansion. In recognition of his Loyal, Dedicated, and Exemplary service, he was honored by the Lagos State Government with two prestigious awards: the Long Service Merit Award and the Lagos State Government Outstanding Officer of the Year 2025. He was admitted as a Doctoral Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Contract Project and Facility Management on the 15th November, 2025. He is flexible and versatile and can maintain composure under pressure even in deadline-driven environments. He is happily married and blessed with lovely Children.
