Mrs. Omobola A. Omotimirin, joined the Lagos State Civil Service as a State Counsel in the Ministry of Justice in Year 2000.

Omobola  A. Omotimirin (Mrs.) attended Model Elementary Laboratory School, Richmond, Kentucky, United States Of America for her primary education and Command Secondary School, Ipaja, Lagos for her Secondary education.

She proceeded to Lagos State University, (LASU), Ojo to study Law and bagged her LLB in 1994. She later went to University of Lagos, Akoka for her Master’s degree also in law in 2003. In 2015, she was awarded Masters of Laws Programme in Employment Law and Practice at the Leicester De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom.

Her Legal practice experience spans between the private and public sectors. She worked in the Chambers of Adetunji Fadayiro, SAN and Paul Usoro, SAN between 1996 to 1999, respectively. After joining the Civil Service, she was deployed to the Directorate of Public Prosecution between the years 2000 to 2007. She also worked in the Citizens’ Mediation Centre (CMC) between 2007 to 2010. Mrs Omotimirin has also worked as a Prosecutor, Defence Counsel and Mediator.  She was an Assistant Director in the Directorate of Civil Litigation before her recent redeployment to Lagos State Procurement Agency as Secretary/Legal Adviser.

In the course of her career in the Civil Service, she obtained a certificate as an accredited member of the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, United Kingdom (CEDR), Certificate in Negotiation Skills for Lawyers issued by the Lagos State Public Service and Development Centre, Magodo, Lagos. She has also completed other career enhancing courses.  She is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Nigeria.  As a skilled Mediator, she partakes in Mediation Sessions at the Lagos Multi-Door Court House (LMDCH) and   during the LMDCH’s annual Settlement Week.  She is also registered as a Mediator with the Lagos Court of Arbitration.

Mrs. Omotimirin is diligent and possesses a high sense of responsibility and integrity.  She is dynamic and a team player who displays an exceptional passion for her profession and duties.

She received an award for being an Outstanding Staff of the Directorate of Civil Litigation for the year 2012.

Mrs Omotimirin is an indigene of Lagos Island in Lagos State and her hobbies include service to humanity, reading and meeting diverse groups of people.
