MISS SHOLA SHASORE – DIRECTOR, CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DEPARTMENT
Shola Shasore is a Director, Procurement at the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency heading its Contractor Registration Department and responsible for driving the State’s vision of a fully automated user-friendly registration management system.
Miss Shasore is a member of Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) (2017) and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), United Kingdom (2002). She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Benin, Benin (1990), a Master of Business Administration degree in Engineering Management from the City University Business School, London, UK (1995) and a Post Graduate degree in Purchasing and Logistics from the University of North London, UK (2001).
She has over 25 years experience in effecting reforms, cost reduction and effectiveness to improve company turnover, operational efficiency, achieve competitive advantage as well as business and government objectives optimizing procurement and Supply Chain Management and other business-related processes.
Her procurement expertise range from Purchasing, Outsourcing, Privatisation, Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) to Public Private Partnerships (PPP) within the public and private sectors, both internationally and locally.
Miss Shasore was appointed as the Director-General/Head of the Lagos State Public Private Partnership (PPP) Office navigating the Office during the 2015 administrative transition. As a pioneer member of the Office she was instrumental in structuring and negotiating bankable PPP transactions within the health, education, affordable housing, ICT, vocational training, tourism, commercial real estate sectors.
Prior to joining the Lagos State Government in 2009, Miss Shasore had served at strategic and consultancy levels with cross-functional responsibilities with major players in Telecommunications, Petroleum Stock Market, Government Agencies, Facilities Management and Power Generation ( to mention a few ), both locally and internationally.
Miss Shasore was redeployed to the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency in 2016 and she has remained a key player in the Agency’s state-wide repositioning and development initiatives leading to process and performance optimisation. Her passion for excellence makes her a ‘Doer’ who is highly skilled in identifying challenges and providing creative solutions. This has translated into delivering business values and government objectives and turning businesses around in her diverse capacities.
Miss Shasore is team-oriented and her management style has often been described as ‘hands on’ and decisive, yet flexible.
