Mr Abayomi Oluyomi, the Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Lagos State, is
an accomplished investment Banker with extensive academic and professional
qualifications in Finance, Accounting and Banking. Within his 28 years of
practical experience, he has engaged with international Financial institutions,
Multi-lateral Agencies, Private Equity firms
and Development institutions globally.
Mr. Abayomi holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees of the
University of Lagos. A Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Banker, Mr. Oluyomi is
an accomplished Treasurer with a strong presence in
International financial markets, having worked with institutions such
as Stanbic IBTC, Union Bank and Chartered Bank.
As Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Internal
Audit from January 2020 to May 2023, he spearheaded a significant
transformation, emphasizing professionalism, transparency, competence
and integrity. His pivotal role in managing the financial affairs of Lagos
State demonstrated a commitment to fiscal responsibility and transparency,
ensuring efficient resource allocation for the benefit of the State’s
residents.
