Mrs Opemipo Alli-Balogun is the Director of Finance and Accounts of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency. She was employed by the Lagos State Government as a Principal Accounts Assistant IV, Grade Level 08, in 1993 and was subsequently deployed to the then Ministry of Finance and Economic Development where she served between 1993 and 1997. She was later deployed to the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue where she worked between February 1997 and April,1999.
She was re-deployed to the Lagos State Women Development Centre, Agege where she served as the pioneer Head of Accounts between April 1997 and April 2000. Thereafter, she served in the Accounts Department of the Office of the Chief of Staff, Governor’s Office between April 2000 and April, 2006.
She was again moved to the Lagos State Market Development Board where she served as pioneer Head of Accounts.
Mrs Alli-Balogun has also served in the following Ministries, Departments and Agencies: Lagos State Environmental and Special Offices Unit, Governor’s Office (March 2009), Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (2009), Agency for Mass Education (February, 2012 – June, 2014) and Ministry of Science and Technology (July 2014 –November 2015) before her deployment to the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency in November, 2015.
Mrs Alli-Balogun holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo State (2000). She also attended the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin where she obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accounting in 1992. While in the institution, she was elected as Treasurer of the Students’ Union, thus making history as the first female student to be elected into the executive body of the Union. She obtained her Ordinary National Diploma in Accounting from the Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, Lagos.
For her secondary education, she attended Our Lady of Apostles Secondary School, Yaba, Lagos where she obtained her West African School Certificate in 1983. She attended Mainland Preparatory Primary School, Bank- Olemoh, Surulere, Lagos for her First School Leaving Certificate.
Mrs Alli-Balogun is a member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management and Chartered Institute of Taxation. She served as Treasurer of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) between 2007 and 2012 and was one of those who fought for the recognition of ANAN in the Lagos State Public Service. She had her one year industrial attachment at Tower Aluminum Nigeria Plc. Ikeja, Lagos and also worked as a temporary staff with the company. She had her compulsory one year National Youth Service at CMD Toyo Glass Ltd, Agbara, Ogun State.
